The Newcastle Green Gathering is the North East’s newest community music and environmental festival and is celebration of the environment, music, arts and much, much more.
With its roots firmly in Newcastle’s dynamic green culture, the Newcastle Green Gathering aims to raise awareness of environmental issues and living ethically by providing a creative and educational environmental, arts and music based event for the benefit of the local community and the region as a whole, highlighting the small, simple changes we can all make to our lifestyles to become more environmentally and ethically aware, without dramatically affecting the way we live our lives, or our quality of life. We aim to create a platform to ensure the best of the cities local talent can shine through – bringing a great line up of cutting edge and established musical, arts and creative groups together in one place.
The festival itself takes place in Exhibition Park, close to the centre of Newcastle – making it easily accessible to the whole of the local community - and is entirely organised and run by volunteers – all dedicated to spreading the environmental message of the festival and bringing the best music to the ears of the city.
